Vera Marie Halecki
July 24, 1965 – October 25, 2014
Vera Marie Halecki, 49, of Tampa, FL passed away on October 25, 2014. She was born in Gainesville, FL on July 24, 1965. She was the daughter of Erika L. Halecki and the late Stanley A. Halecki of Merritt Island, FL.
Vera loved family, friends and animals and rarely in that order. Her passion and commitment to those she loved knew no bounds. In giving so much to others, there were times when Vera left little for herself. For the past several months, Vera faced improbable odds with a wry smile and a graceful blend of hope, tears, sarcasm and love for those near to her heart.
She is survived by her mother, Erika Halecki; sister, Amy Halecki-Hans; brother, Anthony S. Halecki; nephew, Anthony; nieces Gianna Marie and Alina Mei; and beloved cats, Boo Boo, Gizmo and Say My Name.
A viewing will be held at 1pm at Baldwin Fairchild on Ivanhoe Blvd in Orlando on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014. Memorial service will follow at 2pm in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Tampa Humane Society (humanesocietytampa.org) .

Vera shared her heart, energy and time with so many folks. Always willing to go the extra mile. It was such a great friendship. The numerous laughs, talking on the phone until late hours. She will be missed but not forgotten.

I graduated with Vera and we were proud to be WHS grads. She always had a kind word and tried to make friends wherever she went.
