Obituary
EMILY BAUMAN HOPKINS Born November 1, 1941, Lafayette, Indiana, to Clara and Russell Bauman, decreased, and raised by her Mother and beloved stepfather, Lt. Col. James Pool, also deceased. She and her husband, Charles Chuck Hopkins, who passed away in 2014, were married for fifty years. They were the proud parents of Melinda Mindy Swain, deceased, and Elizabeth Beth Mock, also deceased, and Mark Hopkins and wife, Wendy, of Sioux Falls, Iowa. They were blessed with three grandchildren, Chelsea Swain Rawls and husband, Michael Ryan Rawls, Nathan Mock and Julia Mock and two great-granddaughters, Willow and Violet. Emily also leaves behind her brother, Russell Bauman of Indianapolis, Indiana, and wife, Janice and her sister, Elizabeth Libby Corona and husband, Arturo, and many well-loved nieces and nephews and dear, loving friends. Emily attended Gen H. H. Arnold High School in Wiesbaden, Germany and graduated from Fairborn High School, Fairborn, Ohio, in 1959. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Hawaii in 1979. She and Chuck resided in the Houston area in 1982 for four years and returned to Montgomery County, Texas, in 1992, retiring to Panorama Village in 2008. Emily loved reading and, also, pursuing her interest in the antiquing business. She was a long-time volunteer for The St. Vincent de Paul Society, based at Sacred Heart Church in Conroe. If desired, donations would be much appreciated to The St. Vincent de Paul Society or other agencies providing help to those in need. The family will hold a private graveside service at Cashners Garden Park Cemetery.
