Earl Richard "Rick" Adams passed away, Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in
Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Born in Tulsa, Okla., in 1938, he lived most of
his life in Fort Walton Beach with some of his younger years spent in
Wiesbaden, Germany, and East Islip, N.Y.
He graduated from
Choctawhatchee High School in 1956 and attended the University of
Florida, and remained an avid Gator fan throughout his life. Active in
the real estate industry for most of his career, he had been retired for
several years and most recently spent time volunteering at Fort Walton
Beach Medical Center.
Mr. Adams, an only child, is preceded in
death by his parents, Earl F. Adams and Mildred R. Adams, also long-time
residents of Fort Walton Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Lee
Adams, his best friend and help-mate during 54 years of marriage. He is
also survived by his sons, Rick Adams and his wife, Amy, of Ridgeland,
Miss., and Bruce Adams, and his wife, Karen, of Lake Mary, Fla.; along
with four grandchildren, Brantley, Millie, Faith and Lauren.
