Bennee Beth Jones
October 27, 1945 – February 3, 2018
Bennee Beth Jones, of Dallas, TX, passed away on Feb 3 in Dallas, TX. She will always be remembered as a loving and loyal mother, wife, and friend to all that knew and loved her.
She was born on October 27, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas to parents Joseph and Louise Gulinson. The daughter of a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force, Bennee spent her childhood years in Japan and then Wiesbaden, Germany, graduating from General H. H. Arnold High School in 1963.
She studied English and German at Southwest Texas State University, earning a B.A., cum laude, 1968, and M.A., cum laude, 1969. Bennee’s other academic accreditations and affiliations include Alpha Pi, Sigma Tau Delta, Delta Phi Alpha, Kappa Delta Pi, and Alpha Delta Pi. Bennee taught college English for a number of years before pursuing a career in Law and earning her J.D. with distinction from Saint Mary’s University in 1986 as honorary Phi Delta Phi.
Bennee was Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Her multi-state and international practice included commercial litigation, defending employers against employment-related claims.
Her professional affiliations include: Dallas Bar Association (Council Member 1995, Treasurer 1996, Secretary 1997, Vice Chair 1998, Chair 1999 and Immediate Past Chair 2000, Employment Law Section; Chair Mediation Volunteer Program, Employment Law Section, 2002), State Bar of Texas, Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, and Dallas Women Lawyers Association (Board of Directors, 1991-1992).
Bennee is accredited with four Published Opinions and retired Partner from Andrews Kurth, LLP in 2010.
Bennee’s greatest accomplishment is that she was above all a beloved mother and wife. Strong yet loving and compassionate, courageous and inspiring, vibrant and gracious, humble yet dignified. She loved deeply and in turn was deeply loved. She will be cherished by her family, honored and remembered with the greatest of love and admiration, always.
Bennee was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Louis Gulinson, and her mother, Louise Margaret Gulinson.
She is survived by her husband, Philip Jones, son, Randall Schwab, daughter, Lara Schwab Busa and family, grandchildren Claire and Noah Busa, brother, Michael Gulinson and family, and Phil’s sons, Harvey and Mathew Jones.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 9th at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway in Dallas. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park with reception to follow in the L.N. Sparkman Family Lounge.

An amazing person ....Bennee worked so very hard,I will always remember her telling me about when she worked full time teaching and studied for Law at night when the children were sleeping....how hard must that have been?......I'm an very proud to call Bennee my Step Mum XXX.
