My sympathy to the family of one of my favorite teachers from elementary school. Mrs DeSando was my 5th grade teacher and I remember everything about her classroom and about my year as a 5th grader. She was a wonderful teacher and she is already missed by me. God bless.

I met Donna while i was working at her one and only hair salon, Carmela's.i was always in awe of her perfectness; hair, make up, shoes, bag, chic clothes but most impressed by her knack for including me in conversation, her genuine interest, her love for reading, sharing discussing all things, now that is class. I'm sorry we no longer will experience her and most sorry I didn't share these feelings with her, please know how much I adored her every visit. I was lucky to know your Donna. Pamela Slocum.

Donna was a friend from first time we met in WHS and many of my post WHS memories included Donna. In our college years during summers in D,C, we used to head downtown to Georgetown after parties or weddings; we went to lunches together during the class reunions when she wanted to shop instead of sightseeing, and I used to accompany her so she could do it.
So many memories of a wonderful friend and person. I'm sad that I won't see her smiling face at the next reunion or ever again.

I met Donna in 1960 when we both attended Gen. H.H. Arnold High School. She also lived down the street on the economy and we spent many after school hours together. She was a wonderful, vibrant part of our class. We always enjoyed her love of fashion, shopping and did I mention shopping? She will be truly missed but remembered with great fondness and live. She fought a hard fight with cancer, but it's a relentless disease. Rest In Peace WARRIOR. :two_hearts:
