Death Notice

CURFS, Thomas, 59, retired from Navy, of Georgetown, TX died July 18, 2009. Survived by wife Linda. Services 2 p.m. Sunday, Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home, Georgetown.

Tom Curfs born of Dutch descendent in Stuttgart, Germany on December 3, 1949; loving son of Hubertus and Petronella Curfs; a naval officer, a gentleman, a true blue blooded patriot, a Texas-ex, a lover of music and master of jokes who was madly in love with his wife died on Saturday, July 18, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Espinosa Curfs '68) ; daughter, Keli; and many loving friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life was held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 26, 2009 in the chapel of the CookWalden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. On September 22, 2009 at 9:30 A.M. Tom will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Tom’s honor online at www.woundedwarriorproject.org .
