Monique and Phyllis,
Monique,
Cynthia was one of my BEST friends in Wiesbaden. She, Phyllis, Fay, and
I were inseparable whether we were singing, drill team, or babysitting.
Cyn and I kept in touch for a while and I remember how proud of you she
was as a little girl Monique. I have thought of her and Phyllis often
and have wondered if she knew how much the Wiesbaden Alumni do. Cyn has
been on my mind for a while and was disheartened to learn of her
passing. I recently lost my mother to cancer so I know that feeling that
now the hurt is gone. Phyllis, please contact me.

You had the heart of an angel. You fullfilled your true calling. Ill never forget how beautiful your singing was. Or how every morning u would try to wake me up and I always needed that extra 5 min even in my 30's. Mommy each day gets better but its still so hard. Mothers Day is coming up and I wish I could pick up the phone and call u. I miss u calling me everyday... Ill never forget how much u loved me and showered all that love on Theodore. Hes become who he is because of you and all u habe shown him... Sometimes I feel u near me when things get hard and unbearable. But your strength keeps pushing me threw.. I will forever amd always be proud to have been your daughter. Love u

Tomorrow it will be a year since my sister's passing. So bittersweet. I truly miss her but am grateful she is mo longer suffering but is in the arms of our loving Heavenly Father. We will see her again and what joy that brings. Her love for our Lord was and is still an inspiration to me.

Its almost been a year since i've seen you mommy and each day gets harder, but I know that deep down inside you are with me. Psalm 30:5 Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. I now know what this means because of you. Mommy there was so many words unspoken by me but I know you see what's in my heart even more now than ever. I thank god everyday you left journals and little notes to remind me of who I truly am and that's a child of god. Me and Theo couldn't have made it this far without you. Thank you from my heart for you last words to me. To always keep my eyes on him because god knows I just want to pick up the phone and call you. But the great thing is all I have to do is look up to the sky and know that you and my god are taking care of me and little man. Love you so much my sweet guardian angel

Dear Monique,
I
have tried to call your mother's phone number and thought it unusual
that it no longer was receiving messages. I wondered for a while,
knowing that she was dealing with cancer.
I am so sorry to learn of
your mother's passing today as I decided to Google her to see what may
have transpired. I cry now as I discover that her last message to me was
one of hope when she was dealing with so much herself.
I knew your
mother in school during our years at Wiesbaden High School in West
Germany (at the time). She and I sang in the choir together and had so
much fun in the drill team as well. Even after graduation she kept in
touch regardless of where our journeys took us. She touched many people
with her charming way. She always expressed how grateful she was for you
and her grandson, Theo. I was going through some old pictures recently
and came across a graduation photo that she gave me. I would love to
send it to you if you want to give me a call sometime and let me know
how you are doing. You can Google me as well and find my contact
information. I know she will be watching over you and will always be
your biggest cheerleader.

I am just now finding out about the passing of someone very dear. I am shocked and I am saddened beyond description. I worked with Cynthia at San Bdno Community ER 30 years ago and we remained friends after I left to another job. The last time we spoke was about a year and a half ago. Cynthia no matter what her trial was always remained thoughtful and kind to those around her. She had such dreams and plans of becoming a nurse. This earth is lacking an angel. Knowing her unconditional faith in our Lord I can only imagine the celebration upon her homecoming. To her daughter and grandson, my deepest and sincerest condolences.

When I came to San Bernadino I met Cynthia she was a most special person whom I will miss forever. I am a Nurse Practitioner and we came to Loma Linda for My husbands Residensy in Internal medicine and now he is a cardiologist. Cynthia was on of the most special, down to earth people I was blessed to have as a friend in my life. I Hope that Monique can call on me anytime even though she does not know me well. Love you Kiddo-

I met
Cynthia 2 years ago when i transferred to Behavioral Health, and she was
my Mentor, Friend, and a great Role Model. "Treat others as you would
like to be treated Kiddo" she would tell me. Then she would say you are
just Precious, which became my new Nick Name. I will miss you Miss
Cynthia...

When I
came to Community Hospital of San Bernardino, 20 years ago, Cynthia was
already here. From my first interaction with her I was amazed. I can
truly say I have never heard her use profanity or speak about someone
behind their back. She ALWAYS strove to be an example of her
spirituality and her God. The hospital has lost a great employee and a
wonderful friend.
I have always described her, in this way, and it is very fitting:
"You know Cynthia. Older, African-American woman? You know her, she is so sweet and nice you will think she is being fake!"
She was never fake. Goodbye from one of your many "kiddos".

Our
paths crossed only briefly, and on those days I was greeted with a smile
and good morning, one morning I commented on the angel she kept by her
computer, she shared with me her recent battle with cancer and how
grateful she was for each day she woke up, she reminded me to cherish
each and every day also. Thank you Cynthia, blessings and comfort to
your family.
