SCHNEIDER Nana Taylor Purser Schneider died peacefully at her home in Ponte Vedra Beach after a lengthy illness on January 23, 2015. She was born in Iwakuni, Japan on April 21, 1953. She was the beloved daughter of Henry W. and Mary Jane Purser. Nana was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Physical Education. While at Florida, she lettered on the gymnastic team and met her husband Gary Schneider. She was a successful small business owner and most recently owned and designed her signature hand painted shoes which she called Happy Soles . She was a lifelong athlete and completed her first Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii in 1985. She will be missed by her circle of family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Missie Schneider of Gainesville, her father Henry W. Purser, and sisters Becky and Shelly Purser and Toni Bonfili, all of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve (GTNERR), 505 Guana River Rd., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082.
