Amanda K. Sigman

Amanda K. Sigman, 41, of Mountville, PA, beloved daughter, mother and mentor, passed
away peacefully at Hospice & Community Care on Tuesday, November 27, 2018,
surrounded by family and friends. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Dennis and
Deborah Groff Sigman.

 

She graduated from HH Arnold High School, Wiesbaden Germany. After HS graduation,
Amanda travelled throughout Europe. She then attended University of Maryland,
Mannheim Germany and graduated with Associate Degree. On her return to the USA,
Amanda attended Millersville University in 2006 graduated with her RN degree and went
on to graduate from Eastern Mennonite University in 2010 with a BSN degree in nursing.
She worked as a registered nurse at Lancaster General Hospital for 16 years. 

 

Amanda was a Life Member of VFW Auxiliary Post 5752 Mount Joy, PA. She loved
attending the Memorial Day Parade in Mount Joy and visiting with the Veterans after the
parade.

 

Amanda loved Life, being with her family and friends playing cards and enjoying vacations
in Ocean City Maryland. Lunches and girls’ night out with her co-workers.

 

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her three children, Derek B., Emily A. and
Kaylin C. and her brother, Steven Sigman and a large loving family and the army of
“Amanda Strong” friends and coworkers that have been by her side through everything.

 

Amanda’s legacy will live on through her family and loved ones.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Amanda’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service on
Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Hempfield United Methodist Church, 3050 Marietta
Avenue, Lancaster, PA at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. David Fisher and Chaplain Pete Jupin
officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday following the service at the
luncheon.
