WIESBADEN REUNION
The Top of Each Decade

Card image cap

At the top of each decade the WHS Alumni Association hosts an official reunion back to Wiesbaden, complete with tours of the school, housing areas, installations and, of course, the incredible city of Wiesbaden.

This amazing tradition started in 1990, with the first-ever back-to-Wiesbaden all-class years gathering, followed up with much success in 2000 and 2010. The 2020 was all ready to go, but the virus had other plans. We've set new dates twice now and still the pandemic persists. We'll get the news out once we've decided whether or not we can move forward with this reunion at this time. Worse case scenario, we'll do something stateside once we feel more comfortable making arrangements for larger groups.

Official Gatherings have been paused until things can get back to 'more normal!' Stay tuned!

STATESIDE ALL-YEARS
Middle of Each Decade

Card image cap
At the mid-point of each decade, the Alumni Association hosts an all-years reunion in varying stateside locations for folks who aren't able to get to Wiesbaden, and for alumni who don't want to wait ten years between official gatherings.

Our most recent mid-decade event co-located with the official DoDDs Teachers Reunion in 2015, held in Chicago.
The Warriors were the first ever student group to be welcomed officially to the DoDDs event. And it was fantastic to catch up with Ms. Flacke, Ms. Robert, Mr. Youngman (rip), Mr. Kroseman (rip), Ms. Dunn, Ms. Ryan, Mr. Lykins, Ms. Peterson and so many other teachers who taught in or near Wiesbaden back in the day.
Check back here for details as we get nearer to the next mid-decade event tentatively scheduled for sometime in 2025 (assuming things return to some kind of 'normal!')

END OF YEAR
WARRIOR DINNER

Comments from the event organizer:

For over 20 years, Warriors have gathered the first Saturday in December to eat, drink and be merry... kicking off the holiday season with Warrior family.

It's very informal and the main event is dinner at the Waldhorn German Restaurant at 6:00 pm. We have Warriors that start arriving on the Thursday and Friday before, taking advantage of the shopping venues around and about the area.

There's always a group having lunch at Razoo's on Saturday at noon, which is located in the same area of the Concorde Mall.

We have what is called 'the party room' at the hotel where we meet up (this is actually a suite that three Warrior brothers share and decorate - I don't think they sleep the whole weekend!)...

Agenda items subject to change for future events. Be sure to check back to confirm!

The preferred Warrior hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn, 425 Towne Centre Blvd., Pineville, NC... 704-889-3279. There is another hotel that is right next door should this one get booked up.

For the dinner... dress is casual and we do ask that you bring a German themed gift for a door prize... around $10. If you don't want to participate in the door prizes, no worries! It's all laid back and fun... no pressure.

If you have a letter jacket, bring it as we have group pictures and it's fun to see the span of the class years. We also do group pictures by class!

Feel free to invite other Warriors. The Warrior loft has a limit, but overflow can be seated downstairs at a table or two... or three!

This event takes place rain or shine, or pandemic! (with safety measures in place)

BRAT PACK REUNIONS

Card image cap
Classes 86-92 have been putting on a good show ever since Class of '88 turned 20! And they love to bring their friends along for the ride. The 2008 and 2018 events took place in Austin and a smaller group met up again in 2019 in Panama City Beach, Florida. There's been talk of bringing the next one to New York City, Seattle or Portland, and maybe another Texas throw-down in the Houston area. Watch this space for updates!
